The Factory Theatre churns out another critically acclaimed production with The Big Smoke

The Bond’s prime location, right in the heart of the Entertainment District, will allow future residents to be steps away from great theatrical productions.

The Factory Theatre, located at 125 Bathurst Street (at Adelaide) recently featured the play The Big Smoke. It starred Amy Nostbakken in a one woman show and was directed by Nir Paldi (the two co-wrote the play).

The 70 minute solo show featured Nostbakken singing most of the monologue. She told the first person account of “Natalie,” a young Toronto artist who undergoes a mental breakdown during a competition in England. Nostbakken used different musical techniques to evoke the emotion and tone of the story.  As such, she artfully embodied the role as Natalie.
