With The Princess of Wales Theatre conveniently within in the entertainment district, why not go see a Broadway show for a change? Sure, the movies are great; but there is definitely something captivating about live music and theatre. As one of the four Mirvish Productions theatres in the area, there is a lot of history behind the theatre. Its name has a triple meaning: it recalls the “Princess Theatre” which was one of Toronto’s first playhouses; it honours the late Princess Diana, who had consented to the name; and it is linked to its sister theatre, Royal Alexandra, named after another Princess of Wales.
The beautiful, 2000-seat theatre offers a number of shows that will surely give you a night to remember. It’s a great place for a family night out, a special date or even for a night on your own.
